This is a blog dedicated to cycling and to Scotland. Not competitive cycling, but getting out and about on a bike and enjoying the real beauty of Scotland.
I have travelled a fair bit in the world by bicycle, but what we have on our doorstep is among the very best. Mountains, glens, idyllic islands and stunning coastline grab the headlines. But there is immense beauty in and around our towns and cities too – canal paths, converted railway paths and a growing network of quiet backroads and tracks avoiding the traffic.
Yes the weather can be ‘mixed’. But we have so many more dry days in Scotland than you would imagine. With the forecasts now so accurate no excuse not to be prepared.
The blog itself would be a bit dull with just pictures of Scotland, pretty as they may be. I will post some pictures …. but I have some opinions – you may agree or disagree! – so check out the blogs.
